How BabyGather writes and maintains its guides
Who writes our guides
“BabyGather Editorial” is the byline we use for the guides created and maintained by BabyGather. It is a brand byline, not a named person. It doesn’t mean a guide was written or checked by a doctor, lawyer or other professional, and we don’t claim medical, legal or other professional credentials for it.
How we research
We base our guides on sources you can check, and link to them in the text. These include:
- UAE government, police and transport authorities, for local rules
- Recognised health organisations, for health guidance
- Recognised safety organisations, for topics like safe sleep
- Other reputable primary sources, where they’re the best reference
Some health guidance we cite is written for another country, such as the UK’s NHS. We name the source in the guide so you can see where the advice comes from. We don’t invent statistics, quotes, reviews or parent stories.
Our guides are not currently reviewed by doctors, lawyers or other outside professionals.
Safety and medical topics
Our guides are general information for parents in the UAE. They aren’t medical, legal or safety advice for your situation. For anything about your own or your baby’s health, talk to your doctor or paediatrician. Always follow the instructions that come with a product.
Where a guide covers safety, such as car seats, safe sleep or heat, we take that guidance from authoritative sources wherever we can and link to them. Rules and advice can change, so check the original source for the latest version.
Products we mention
BabyGather doesn’t claim to have tested a product unless a guide explicitly says so and that testing actually happened. Our current guides cover product types and what to look for when buying, not hands-on product reviews.
Affiliate links
BabyGather may earn commissions from qualifying purchases made through certain retailer links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. A commission doesn’t change the price you pay. Our Affiliate Disclosure explains how affiliate links work on BabyGather.
Corrections and updates
We aim to correct factual errors and to update guidance when better information becomes available. A guide that has been updated after its first day of publication shows an “Updated” date next to its publish date.
